Well, so far this year there are a few trends that really stand out. Some of the most popular options this year include geometric shapes, nature inspired designs and mixed metal finishes. Natural Materials
Over the last few years natural fibers have had a huge surge in popularity showing up in every aspect of home décor, including lighting! Woven and wrapped plant materials are all the rage this year.

This season the lighting designs are pairing the woven textures with contrasting materials and applications of color to make a bolder statement.
Retro Refresh
Lots of lighting designers are taking inspiration from space-age style with modern takes on retro elements.

Oversized
Extra large styles have been very popular in recent seasons. They create a dramatic focal point that makes a statement!

Organic Shapes
Designs inspired by natural motifs like flora and fauna have gained popularity recently. This can be both abstract and more literal versions of this style.

Crystal Designs
One popular take on the Organic Shapes trend has been crystalline shapes. Many fixtures reference the shape of quartz or other stones. Giving the design an earthy and natural appearance instead of the more traditional cut glass lighting options.

Mixed Materials
Over the past few years brass has passed silver in popularity and continues to be the most dominant metal tone in both traditional and contemporary lighting styles. This season many designs are pairing materials, colors and textures for a modern look.

Leather Accents
The leather accents trend is a combination of the mixed materials trend and the natural materials trends. The popularity of leather in lighting has risen over the past few seasons and has become a major one to look out for and try incorporating into your home.

Art Deco
Art Deco styles is inspired by the popular designs of the 1920’s and often incorporates symmetrical patterns and geometric details.
